, Billy Bush seems to be in BIG trouble! The ‘Today’ show anchor has reportedly been suspended from the show following the leak of a super offensive chat he had with Donald Trump

Hours after it was revealed that Billy, 44, wouldn’t be appearing on the Oct. 10 episode of Today, CNN’s Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter revealed on Twitter that Billy had been suspended from the Today show “pending further review.” Today executive Noah Oppenheim sent an email to the show’s staff on the evening of Oct. 9 to reveal Billy’s suspension:

“Dear TODAY Family — I know we’ve all been deeply troubled by the revelations of the past 48 hours,” his email read, according to Daily Mail. “Let me be clear — there is simply no excuse for Billy’s language and behavior on that tape. NBC has decided to suspend Billy, pending further review of this matter. If any of you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me directly, anytime day or night. Best, Noah.”

In case you haven’t heard the tapes that were leaked, Billy and Donald were chatting on a bus prior to the presidential candidate’s guest appearance on Days Of Our Lives — and it was almost more appalling than the things Trump has said about women in the past. From joking about cheating on his wife Melania Trump to saying men should “grab women by the p***y,” Donald told Billy some pretty awful things. And the worst part? Billy went right along with it, laughing at every awful remark Donald was making!

Billy has already issued a statement following the leak of his conversation with Donald, admitting that he was “embarrassed” and “ashamed” about the crude chat he had with the now-GOP candidate, adding how sorry he was that it ever happened. Obviously an apology wasn’t going to cut it for the Today show management!

Judging by the way Billy responded to the convo leaking, it seemed he the Today anchor would’ve immediately addressed the matter as soon as the show started on Oct. 10. Unfortunately for Billy, he won’t get his chance to do that for at least another day or two. It’s unclear exactly how long he’ll be kept off the Today show, but Al Roker will fill his position for the time being.
