These New Emojis are Coming in Apple's iOS 10 Update

Apple released the beta of their iOS 10 update this week. Let's get right to the most frivolous-yet-important bit—here are our new emoji options.We're not yet seeing emojis from the recent Unicode 9 update—selfie, clown, black heart, avocado, and more— but the current ones get a new look and more diversity.


First, Apple's emojis are about to get a little flatter with more detail, TechCrunch notes. Also, professions and sports will get female options, and the families have been updated to include single parent configurations. Plus, the controversial gun emoji has been swapped with a more playful water pistol.
