Ryan Reynolds Partners with Eddie Bauer as Philanthropic Ambassador for The One Tree Iniative

PEOPLE's Sexiest Dad Alive just got even more adorable. Ryan Reynolds is teaming with designer Eddie Bauer to help save endangered forests, and really, what's cuter than a dad who cares about conservation!


"The One Tree Initiative recognizes that one person and one dollar can impact the future of our forests," President and CEO of Eddie Bauer, Mike Egeck told PEOPLE in a statement. "We are proud to partner with Ryan as our philanthropic ambassador as he shares our passion and appreciation for the outdoors."With the new initiative, the actor, 39, and clothing company are taking their collaboration – announced in November of last year – as they pledge, "continued support of the American Forests' mission to protect and restore threatened forest ecosystems around the world."

Beginning during Earth Week in April, Eddie Bauer is set to increase the amount of trees planted by "matching customer donations under The One Tree Initiative, giving one tree for every dollar up to 75,000 trees.

For those who can't wait to get involved, donations are also being accepted directly through the American Forests website or texting program, in which donators can plant five trees when they text ONETREE – which automatically gives a $5 donation – to 80077.people
