It doesn’t get more awkward than this interview.R. Kelly walked out of an interview with HuffPost Live Monday
(Dec. 21, 2015) after he refused to address questions about how his controversial past impacted album sales. The interview started off casually, with host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani asking him about his new album The Buffet. However, six minutes in, things take a disastrous turn when she asks Kelly how he would respond to a fan’s tweet that said they would play Kelly’s music at a barbecue, butwouldn’t let him babysit their children.

“I say f-ck that. I say, I have a lot of fans around the world who love R. Kelly. You can’t satisfy everybody,” he responded. Modarressy-Tehrani pressed the topic, which caused the rapper to become super irritated. She then asked him if he has a “healthy relationship” with sex, since it’s the main topic of his lyrics. That’s when he threatens to leave.
If the next question is something negative out of your mouth, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I did not come here to get interrogated, I did not come here for a deposition. Do you know what a deposition is? Then you should agree with me when I say this sounds sort of like a deposition. This is not about R. Kelly, this is not about music, this is not about someone who worked hard and has an album out. This is about trying to interrogate me and this is about disrespect.
When the host tried to explain that that wasn’t what she was trying to do, he dismissed her comments and continued ranting. He even went as far as criticizing her intelligence and asking her whether or not she likes to drink. It ends with him removing his mic, and saying “This interview is over.” However, not before thanking Tehrani and calling her beautiful — to which she responded, “You don’t need to comment on my appearance, sir.”celebuzx
