Bill Cosby is suing another woman who has accused him of sexual assault.
The Cosby Show actor has filed a defamation countersuit against former model Beverly Johnson, in addition to the seven alleged victims whom he countersued last week. Cosby cites “emotional distress” according to his lawyer’s statement (via USA Today), claiming that he “never drugged [the] defendant and her story is a lie”. He accuses Johnson of trying to “resuscitate her own career and benefit herself financially from the wave of media attention surrounding her false allegations”.
Johnson accused Cosby of drugging her back in the 80’s in her memoir, “The Face That Changed It All“, writing that she felt “woozy” after drinking a cappuccino that he prepared for her in his home. Cosby is asking that the court forces Johnson to pull unsold copies of her memoir from the shelves and remove this anecdote entirely from future prints.celebuzz
