Apple Upgrades iPhone 6S Before Launch

Do you know what the biggest new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus feature will be? Yes, so does Bloomberg, developers via secret iOS 9 code and the world from revealing iPhone 6S photos but it seems Apple AAPL -0.92% has a trick up its sleeve: the feature in question has already been upgraded.

According to the ever reliable 9to5Mac, Apple is (was?) set to surprise everyone this week by announcing not that the new iPhones will have Force Touch like the Apple Watch and MacBook Pro ranges, but that they will be receiving the second generation of Force Touch.
Apple will apparently label the technology ‘3D Touch Display’ and the key difference from Force Touch as we know it will be its ability to distinguish three distinct touches, not two:
  1. A standard tap
  2. A press
  3. A strong press
9to5Mac also claims “The new 3D Touch screen is likely to work in tandem with a new Taptic Engine to provide physical feedback to the user.”
The repercussions of this are significant…source:Gordon kelly
