Beyonce's 'Lemonade' Picks Up Four Emmy Nominations

The 2016 Emmy Awards nominations are in, and for the 16th straight year, HBO is the top-nominated network with a total of 94 nods. And while a few music-related entities are among the potential honorees -- Taraji P. Henson's Cookie Lyon character from Fox hit Empire was one; Broadway star Audra McDonald as Billie Holliday in HBO film Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill another -- Beyonce's HBO special/"visual album" Lemonade was shut out of the major categories.

FRONTLINE Nominated for 18 Emmy Awards

FRONTLINE, the acclaimed PBS investigative series, has earned 18 News and Documentary Emmy Award nominations for a range of films exploring key domestic and international issues.
The 2016 nominations, which contributed to PBS’s 54 total nods, were announced today by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
