Today's Tip: Tiger Eye Hair Colour
When
it comes to subtle ombré fades and highlights on the hair, we've seen everything from balayage to tortoiseshell and ecaille take off. Recently, we learned about the a technique called
"tiger eye," which is inspired by the tiger eye stone. The pretty pebble is thought to have healing powers, so choosing it as a Winter hair color means you'll start the new year off with good vibes.
Honey Artists hairstylist Corey Tuttle told Byrdie, "A tiger eye is an ancient stone worn for protection and confidence — it's known for its rich browns and golds." These colors are seen blended through strands using a technique that is similar to balayage. Tuttle advises to ask your colorist for "hand-painted caramel highlights paired with a warm or dark chocolate base." And like balayage, it grows out seamlessly, since the roots are not necessarily dyed.
Celebrities like Jessica Alba (pictured) and Jennifer Lopez have rocked tiger eye hair, and as the fad grows, we predict it will be a hot salon staple by the start of 2017.

Tiger Eye gemstone is known for its striking bands of yellow and gold. It is believed to bring protection, courage, and confidence to its wearer. The stone's unique chatoyancy, or cat's-eye effect, makes it visually appealing and distinct. Many people use tiger eye gemstone for grounding and stabilizing their emotions, making it a popular choice for jewelry and spiritual practices.
