All the scoop on 137 shows in Fall TV Preview

Supernatural has been crowned the winner of EW’s Fall Cover Battle, but the demon-hunting Winchester brothers can take a break when it comes to the rest of the Fall TV Preview: After all, our writers didn’t have to face any monsters to put it together. Instead, for this year’s double issue — featuring scoops on a whopping 137 shows — EW’s team of TV reporters spent weeks grilling showrunners, visiting sets, and interviewing the biggest stars to bring you this definitive guide of the fall’s small-screen slate.

So get ready, TV fans: Inside, you’ll find answers to burning questions for returning favorites, deep dives into new comedies and dramas (and everything in between), and a handy calendar to track all the shows you’ll want to catch. Eager to know what to expect from This Is Us? We’ve got the behind-the-scenes intel. Want to read a page from the script of Gilmore Girls? We’ve got that, too — as well as chats with leading ladies Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. Curious about what you’ll find in the wild, wild Westworld? Wondering how Jane the Virgin will continue after that cliffhanger? Wish you could sit inside the writers’ room of The Big Bang Theory? All of that can be found in EW’s jam-packed Fall TV Preview.

And that’s just scratching the surface. You’ve probably caught some of our (now complete!) 50 Scoops in 50 Days in the run-up to the Fall TV Preview, but you’ll find even more in the issue, including a closer look at the Kiefer Sutherland starrer Designated Survivor, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s next musical numbers, Quantico’s latest conspiracy, Pitch’s gameplay, and the minds behind Black-ish. Plus, Matt LeBlanc, Hayley Atwell, Joel McHale, Donald Glover, Hugh Laurie, Piper Perabo, Tig Notaro, Aden Young, Tori Anderson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (with Lucille!), and more tell us about their fall shows. (If all this Peak TV business has you stressed out about what to add to your crowded schedule, no worries: EW’s TV critic Jeff Jensen also picks his favorites from the new lineup to help you choose.)

All that’s left to do is to ready your remote, warm up your DVR, and buy the issue here, or pick it up on stands beginning Sept. 9. Subscribers will receive the Supernatural Fall TV Preview cover, and the special collectors’ edition will be sold exclusively at Barnes and Noble nationwide. In the meantime, make sure to subscribe for more exclusive interviews and photos only in EW.
