Venus and Serena Williams Lost First Olympic Doubles Set
In a stunning upset, three-time gold medalists Venus and Serena Williams were eliminated during the first round of the women's doubles tournament in the Rio Games. The tennis superstars, who won the gold in 2000, 2008 and 2012, were heavy favorites to win for a fourth time.


But the Czech team of Barbora Strycova and Lucie Safarova managed to pull off the upset, beating the Williams sisters 6-3, 6-4.

As they walked off the court after their defeat, Serena spoke to reporters. "I wouldn't stay it's devastating," she said, according to Reuters. "We had a chance to compete for our country, we did the best that we can. We had a blast out there."
