The Portuguese star, 31 – fresh from his nation’s Euro 2016 heroics – has put any speculation regarding a potential move away from the Bernabeu to bed by insisting he craves a new deal to stay at the club.Speaking to Portuguese news agency Lusa, Ronaldo said: “I spoke to the president on the phone and when I get to Madrid, we will talk about it.
“Obviously it’s something I want, I have mentioned it many times, and the club also wants it.
“But we only spoke briefly, and there will be more concrete things to come.”
The 133-cap Portuguese forward has been in Madrid since leaving Manchester United in 2009, racking up 348 appearances for the Spanish giants, netting an astonishing 364 goals in the process, including 51 strikes in 48 goals last season.
