‘Game Of Thrones’ Recap: Arya’s Fate Revealed After Brutal Stabbing

Game of Thrones
Arya was stabbed by The Waif in last week’s ‘Game of Thrones,’ and we learned exactly what happened to her on the June 12 episode. Plus, Daenerys made a grand entrance and more!
There’s only 3 episodes left of Game of Thrones season 6, and things are getting crazy. On the June 12 episode, we found out if Arya survived The Waif’s brutal attack, The Hound got his revenge, Jaime made headway at Riverrun, and Cersei made sure the Faith Militant knew they should never mess with her.

Lady Crane was killing it in the scene where Joffrey dies. If Westeros gave out Emmys, she would for sure win. After her performance, she went back to her dressing room and found Arya bleeding out. She took Arya back to her place and tended to her wounds. She even asked Arya to come along with her as the troupe traveled. Arya got some much-needed shut eye, but she better be careful. You can’t trust anyone.

Meanwhile, the people who killed Brother Ray and his people were just chilling like nothing had happened. But then The Hound walked up from behind and killed them all easily. He chopped a guy’s head off, tossed an ax up another’s you-know-what and more.

Lancel and the rest of the Faith Militant went to talk to Cersei. Whenever anyone talked to Cersei now, they talked to The Mountain as well. Apparently, the High Sparrow wanted to talk with Cersei, but Cersei was done playing his games. She refused to go to him. Lancel threatened there would be violence if she didn’t comply. “I choose violence,” Cersei said confidently.

The Mountain then strangled one of the Faith Militants with his ONE HAND and ripped off her head from behind. Cersei looked very pleased. Lancel, go home. You suck. But you know who sucks more? TOMMEN! When Cersei went to hear Tommen speak, he revealed that trial by combat was now forbidden. Cersei and Loras would be forced to stand trial before the seven sceptons. OH MY GOD.

Truces & Blackfish’s Final Stand
Brienne and Podrick finally arrived in Riverrun, and she demanded to speak to Jaime. While Brienne and Jaime were having their highly-anticipated reunion, Bronn and Podrick had some catching up to do. Bronn asked if Jaime and Brienne had “f*cked.” Dead. “He’d f*ck her, that’s for sure,” Bronn said. I love him. And he knew Brienne would because of the way she looks at Jaime. Because, duh!

Jaime and Brienne had to basically recap what had been going on in their lives over the past 3 seasons. Jaime was surprised to hear that Sansa had survived. He even said he was proud of Brienne. Be still my heart. Brienne wasn’t there to just catch up — she had a purpose.

She wanted Jaime to allow her to enter Riverrun under a truce. Then he could take over the castle in exchange for the Blackfish and the Tully army’s safe passage north to join Sansa. Brienne gave Jaime back his sword, but he wouldn’t take it. She also let Jaime know that she would have to fight him if she couldn’t persuade the Blackfish to come fight for Sansa. As much as that fight would be EPIC, I never want it to happen. Because someone wouldn’t make it out alive.

Jaime allowed Brienne to enter Riverrun, but the Blackfish wasn’t easy to talk to. He didn’t believe Brienne at first, until she showed him Sansa’s letter. “She’s exactly like her mother,” he said. Blackfish said that he didn’t have enough men to help Sansa take Winterfell, and he wasn’t going to leave his home. He was going to fight for it.

Jaime went to see Edmure to strike a deal. They talked about Catelyn. Jaime admitted that he “admired” the late Lady Stark. Jaime knew how much Catelyn loved her children, because he loved Cersei the same way. The only way Jaime could get back to Cersei was to take Riverrun.

So Jaime threatened to slaughter every Tully to get back to Cersei, including Edmure’s own son. Edmure had no choice but to follow along. When he went up to Riverrun, the Blackfish wanted to keep him out. But since he was not the true lord of Riverrun, Blackfish’s word meant nothing.Edmure was allowed inside and told his men to lay down their arms. He also demanded his army to find the Blackfish and hand him over to the Freys. Meanwhile, Blackfish got Brienne and Podrick out of Riverrun but refused to tag along. He was going to fight for his home, even if it killed him. And he did. After he’d taken over Riverrun, Jaime spotted Brienne and Podrick rowing away. He let them go because he totally loves Brienne.

A Girl Will Never Be No One
Varys left Meereen so Daenerys could have a set of eyes in Westeros. While awaiting Daenerys’ return, Tyrion got Missandei and Greyworm to drink wine. They told some jokes — all of them pretty terrible. But Greyworm cracked a smile. Unfortunately, their good times were ruined when the slaveowners arrived in Meereen. Before they could destroy the city, DAENERYS RETURNED!!!!

The Hound found the guy in the yellow cloak he was looking for. The men who’d killed Ray and his people were actually rebel Brotherhood Without Banners men. The last three were getting ready to hang. The Hound wanted to kill at least two. He watched all three hang and then stole a pair of their boots.

Arya continued to sleep and recover from her wounds. While Arya was sleeping, a man showed up and killed Lady Crane! It was The Waif! Arya ran away through the streets of Braavos, and The Waif followed. Arya fell down the stairs and really bit it.

She was badly wounded again and left a trail of blood everywhere. The Waif wouldn’t take her eyes off of Arya. The Waif found Arya in a dark room. Arya brought out Needle and was ready to fight. In the House of Black and White, Jaqen followed blood and looked up in the Hall of Faces. He probably expected to see Arya’s face, but it was really The Waif’s face!

ARYA IS A SAVAGE!  “You told her to kill me,” Arya told Jaqen, holding Needle to his chest. With this new development, Jaqen revealed that Arya was officially “no one.” Well, Arya was so over Jaqen now. “A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I’m going home,” she said.
