Saraki is currently facing a 16- count charge of false asset declaration while he was the Governor of Kwara State. Wetkas alleged that Saraki did not declare a property he bought in 1993 during his assets declaration of 2003. On further cross-examination, Wetkas further accepted that Allied Properties, a company that was registered on 15th March 1992, also received another C of O, from Nasir El Rufai, former FCT Minister, in its name. . Saraki has been charged with 13 counts of false declarations of assets while he was the governor of Kwara state.
