Mark your calendars, Minnesotans!
- Beyoncé just got her own official holiday in Minnesota thanks to governor Mark Dayton. He declared Monday (May 23, 2016) the first annual Beyoncé Day, the same day she performed in his state. “Beyoncé has influenced many Minnesota girls and women with the powerful, positive messages in her music and her impact and success have been widely-recognized,” Dayton in an official statement. “Now, therefore…I herby proclaim Monday as Beyoncé day.”may 23rd.
Considering Queen Bey’s concert didn’t exactly go as planned since rain and thunderstorms threatened to cancel the show at the outdoor arena, this is some exciting news.
