TV Personality Stacy Fawcett Was Stabbed To Death

Popular Dallas food reporter Stacy Fawcett – known as "Dallas' Favorite Foodie," on Channel 8's News 8 Daybreak – has died, read details by PEOPLE ,confirming In a statement obtained by the Plano Police Department that Fawcett, 45, and her son Josiah Utu, 17, both suffered fatal stab wounds early Friday when Fawcett's eldest son 19-year-old McCann Utu Jr. attacked the pair before stabbing himself.


After the incident, a male suspect contacted police, telling the 911 operator that he had committed murder. Officers were then dispatched to the home in Plano, Texas – a suburb 20 miles north of Dallas – where they "made entry into the residence and discovered a deceased adult male and adult female along with another adult male who was alive with multiple stab wounds."

The suspect, her son McCann Utu Jr., was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

Although authorities could not confirm it, Justin Fawcett – Stacy's brother – said that his nephew had been different since suffering a traumatic brain injury over a year ago, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Since the mother and sons' deaths, a GoFundMe account has been set up to help fund the memorial services for the entire family. Any excess funds will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank in Fawcett's memory. The account has already raised $7,711 of its $10,00 goal.
