Robert Downey Jr. to Appear in Upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ Movie

Prediction: Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to be awesome.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Robert Downey Jr. is joining the cast of the Spider-Man reboot Homecoming, playing his alter ego Tony Stark aka Iron Man, who (we think) will be mentoring Peter Parker aka Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in some way.

You see, Stark and Parker meet in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, and the bond they forge will be further explored in Homecoming, says THR.

Holland’s introduction as the teenage Parker is probably one of the best parts of Civil War – and there are many, many fantastic moments in the Marvel film, so that’s saying something.

Spider-man: Homecoming is set to begin production in June and will also star Zendaya, Tony Revolori and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.
