HBO is preparing for a big weekend of premieres and for maximum impact is letting everyone watch it for free.
The subscription TV network announced Wednesday (April 20) it and Cinemax will offer a free preview weekend running Friday–Monday, aligning with the world premiere of Beyonce's Lemonade and season premieres of some of its favorite shows.
In the revealed weekend schedule it appears that the Lemonade event will be an hour long, running from 9–10 p.m. EST between the world pay-TV premiere of Jurassic World and a the Gennady Golovkin vs. Dominic Wade middleweight world championship boxing match. It will also run again Sunday at 8 p.m. before the season premieres of HBO's beloved series Game of Thrones, Veep and Silicon Valley.
The length of Lemonade is significant as it suggests this could be the premiere of Beyonce's much anticipated sixth solo studio album, rather than solely a single as some have thought.
