Does William Shatner have a long lost son?The Star Trek actor has been slapped with a $170 million lawsuit by a 59-year-old claiming that the actor is his true biological father. Peter Sloan, a radio DJ, has filed legal paperwork in Florida demanding Shatner submit to a DNA test and to pay up in damages.

In court documents obtained by Page Six, Sloan claims his birth mother, late Canadian actress Kathy McNeil, had a brief affair with the actor while working together in Toronto. She gave Sloan up for adoption at five days after giving birth.

Hello daddy...imagine waking up and finding out dat u ve a long lost son? dat was d case for william shatner,.....and he's been sued...read details below.According to Sloan, Shatner, 85, admitted to being his dad when they first met in 1984 on set of T.J. Hooker. However, after Sloan had returned home to New Jersey, he was contacted Shatner by phone, but the conversation ended abruptly after the actor had allegedly become agitated and hung up. Days later, Sloan was allegedly contacted by a representative on behalf of Shatner and was told the actor was “totally denying paternity at this point” and that he will be refusing a DNA test. The spokesperson also allegedly told Sloan not to go public with his claims as it “could be horrendous for [Shatner].”

In 2011, Sloan started going by Peter Shatner until he received a letter from Shatner’s attorney informing him, according to the legal docs, “Bill … confirmed to me once again that he is not your father.”

“There have been many people over the years who have claimed to be his children or other relatives,” the note read. “He is an incredibly busy, 80-year-old man, and is not interested in spending time discussing this issue with you.”

In the suit, Sloan also accuses Shatner of getting his Twitter shut down and having IMDB Pro remove a page about a movie he was working on.

He is seeking $30 million in compensatory damages, $90 million in punitive damages, and $50 million in pain and suffering.

Shatner — who is aware of the case, according to his rep — insists he’s only the father to his three known daughters: Melanie, Lisabeth, and Leslie Carol.celebuzz
