Celine Dion: Singer Turns 48 — Happy Birthday

Happy birthday, Celine Dion!she is one HOT mama at 18...just kidding she just turned 48.....read on  The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer turned 48 on March 30, and although it’s been an emotional year for the diva, we’re wishing her nothing but the best on her special day. Help us celebrate the last 12 months by remembering some of her year’s highlights!

It’s Celine Dion’s special day! And it has been one memorable year for the songstress – in both great ways and downright devastating ones. Celine tragically lost both her brother and her husband to cancer, which was unbelievably tragic. But although she suffered two massive losses, the singer made an epic comeback and returned to her Las Vegas residency shortly after. She also performed at the VMAs and gave her audience a tear-jerking show — what a superstar! Help us wish Celine a very happy birthday right here!


It was a tough year all around for Celine as the love of her life, René Angélil, passed away from throat cancer on Jan. 14, 2016. He had been battling the illness for years but it made an ugly return in 2013, forcing Celine to to take a hiatus from her “Celine” show to care for him. However, the singer made an incredible return to the stage in August 2015 while René recovered from a surgery. She hadn’t performed in over a year, which made her Las Vegas comeback highly publicized. Of course she rocked her first performance back, making us all fall in love with that voice of hers all over again!

But just two days after René’s tragic death in January, Celine’s brother, Daniel Dion, also died — from throat cancer no less. We can only imagine that the beginning of this year was one of Celine’s darkest. But she remained strong as she, once again, returned to her Las Vegas residency stage a month later. Talk about bravery! The resilient singer even burst into tears while singing “All By Myself” during her first night back on Feb. 23, 2016. Aw!


Although Celine’s year definitely had its devastating moments, she was a real trooper through it all. And she wasn’t without happy times either. Back in November 2015, Celine performed a super emotional tribute for the Paris victims during an AMAs appearance that left fans awe-struck. She sang a love song in French, which was dedicated to the city and it’s victims. Her rendition even left some audience members in tears!
