Universal Studios is on a roll! First it was the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, set to open in April, and now they're on track to unveil something just as sweet (pun intended).
Universal Studios in Orlando is opening a seemingly Wonka-inspired wonderland called Toothsome Chocolate Factory. According to Universal Orlando's blog, the park doesn't seem to have an exact opening date but says it should be "later this year." Whatevs. As long as it's opening, that's good enough for us.
The factory itself is Steampunk-themed, complete with staff in appropriate garb. Obvi the main thing we want to know about this place is what kind of sweets they will be serving. We dare you to try the "Bacon Brittle," which Universal Studios describes as "A fun twist on a breakfast favorite with bacon ice cream, bacon brittle, chocolate covered bacon and bacon caramel." Take me to Flavortown, please. You down with red velvet? You're in luck. Be sure to order the milkshake topped with a freaking entire red velvet cupcake.
R.I.P dignity and diet. In true chocolate factory fashion, the company notes you'll be able to watch treats being made in real time. Sold. We're all over that milkshake in the pic with the big brownie on top. Not to mention that chocolate sundae madness above. So. Much. Chocolate. Don't worry though. Being that this is a restaurant, they will offer non-sweet treats as well. Expect burgers and, get this, all-day brunch. Boom. Even though our chubby little gut won't like us, we'll still find every excuse to try and make it over there when it opens. eonline
