First, all female guests were asked to wear red (even Oprah Winfrey stuck to the request!) and the bride ditched a standard white gown for an unconventional black lace dress and sculptural headpiece.The duo tied the knot in matching dark ensembles — the bride, 37, in a vintage Givenchy Haute Couture gown featuring a cap-sleeve sheer design. She teamed it with a long matching veil secured by a couture crown designed by her friend, milliner Stephen Jones. The groom, 62, chose a crushed velvet navy blue Tom Ford tuxedo with black lapel and bowtie.
The whole ceremony took place at record producer David Geffen’s California home, and the invite list was unsurprisingly star-studded. Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Pharrell and Lady Gaga all were in attendance, and female guests adhered to the “wear red” dress code … aside from Lady Gaga, of course, who was seen wearing a plunging black dress and gloves in an Instagram photo with the groom’s son Jamie.people
