5 reasons Sunday Oliseh dumped the Super Eagles

The former Juventus and Borrussia Dortmund player called it quits with the national team sighting breach in contract by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and lack of support. Here are five major reasons that led to Oliseh’s resignation
1. Early exit from CHAN 2016: The shocking early exit of the Super Eagles at the 2016 edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda was a major set back for the former national team captain. Sunday Oliseh’s men failed to reach the knockout stages of the competition having succumbed 0 – 1 to Guinea in their last group game. The early exit at the competition encouraged Nigerian football fans to question the coach’s competence. 2. Reactions after Oliseh’s controversial video: The overwhelming condemnation of Oliseh by Nigerians after the controversial video is also a major factor. The former coach lamented he can no longer afford to travel with his personal money to see how his players are doing abroad.
