Watch Kendrick Lamar Raps 'Alright' with Compton Residents

Kendrick Lamar leads the 58th annual Grammy Awards nominations with 11, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for To Pimp a Butterfly. That's just one shy of Michael Jackson's nomination record
for a single year. Lamar is also scheduled to perform. To promote the show, which airs on February 15th on CBS, the Grammys released a video on Monday featuring the rapper performing in his hometown of Compton.

The short film opens with sun-kissed street scenes and several Compton residents are featured rapping the lyrics to Lamar's "Alright." The track is nominated in four categories: Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Music Video and Best Rap Performance.

Towards the end of the clip, the uplifting mantra chorus is repeated by residents before the man himself shows up for an inspiring performance in the streets of his hometown surrounded by an enthusiastic crowd singing along. It culminates in chants of "Compton!"

Prior to Lamar's potentially big Grammy night, Compton will honor their hometown rapper by presenting him with a Key to the City on February 13th.
