Taraji P. Henson Wins the 2016 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series, Drama

There's no (chocolate) chip on Taraji P. Henson's shoulder! After winning the 2016 Golden Globe for best actress in a television series, drama, for her role as Cookie Lyon on Empire, the actress rewarded the audience, too – with cookies!

Before taking the podium for her speech, the star hilariously stole every cookie from her table and passed them out as she walked up.

"Cookies for everyone tonight – my treat," said Henson while accepting the award. "Who knew playing an ex-convict would take me all around the globe?" When the prompter told her to close out her speech, she proved no one tells Cookie what to do.

"Please wrap?" she exclaimed. "Wait a minute, I've waited 20 years for this, you're gonna wait. Yeah, you're going to give me a little more time. My fans, they've been praying for this, they're all on Twitter like 'Yeah, yeah, hope you get it.' "

Kate Bosworth and Chicago P.D.'s Sophia Bush presented the award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Henson was up against Caitriona Balfe from Outlander, Viola Davis of How to Get Away with Murder, Penny Dreadful's Eva Green and Robin Wright for House of Cards.

The 73rd annual Golden Globes, hosted by Ricky Gervais, are being presented live on NBC. people
