‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6B Just Started, and There’s Already a Body Count

Oh Rosewood, why can’t we quit you?Last night (Jan. 12, 2016), Pretty Little Liars returned to ABC Family,
now Freeform, after a five-month hiatus. But in Rosewood, those mere five months, were actually five years, as the storyline picks up five years in the future.
It’s been five years since A aka Charlotte DiLaurentis (Vanessa Ray) finally revealed herself, and the Liars were able to move on from the nightmare that was high school. They’ve all gone their separate ways and left Rosewood (honestly, it was about damn time), but now Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) asks them all to return to do her a huge favor. The favor you ask? Help get her sister, the person who spent all of high school trying to kill them, released from the hospital.
The girls are obviously reluctant, but they return to Rosewood to hear Alison out (first mistake). After the Liars catch up, they agree to attend Charlotte’s hearing, and while Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) speak out on Charlotte’s behalf, Aria (Lucy Hale) can’t lie, and admits she won’t feel safe if Charlotte’s released.
Despite Aria’s plea, Charlotte is released and happily spends the night with her sister, but their joy is short-lived. No less than a day after being released, Charlotte goes missing and her body is found at the bottom of the bell tower.

That’s right after six seasons and countless fakeout’s, A is officially dead. But in true Rosewood fashion, that just means there’s a new killer on the loose. Who? Hopefully it doesn’t take another six seasons to find out.
