Girls’ Season Six Will Be the Last, Sources Confirm

It looks as though the end is in sight for Hannah Horvath!
Insiders have confirmed that Lena Dunham’s awards darling will be ending with season six.
The news, which was first reported by E! News, comes just as HBO is ramping up promotions for season five.

The show has become a sensation among millennials and shot Dunham to stardom. Jenni Konner, the show’s co-runner, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter just as they wrapped season four.

“I would say season five — I’m hoping, will really inform how much further we want to go. Once we figure out what season five is, we’ll know whether it’s another year,” Konner said. “Maybe it’s just one more year, maybe we wrap it up in six. It all depends. But also we’re not in the business of running it into the ground. We would like to end in a graceful place. And we’d like to tell a complete story. What that means is that we really have to start building towards an end soon, creatively.”

Don’t fret! There’s still two seasons on the way with all your favorite Girls. Season five premieres Feb. 21 on HBO.celebuzz
