David Schwimmer is gearing up to play Robert Kardashian Snr. in FX’s upcoming drama ‘American Crime Story: The People Vs. OJ Simpson’, which will tell the real life story of how the late Kardashian lawyer get his client O.J. Simpson acquitted of murder.
The incident understandably had a huge impact on the famous family’s life as O.J. was an old family friend of the Kardashians and Kris Jenner was particularly close to Nicole Brown Simpson, the victim.
Whilst Kris believed that O.J. was undeniably guilty of killing his wife, Rob continued to defend him in court and protest his innocence, leading to tension between the entire family.
Obviously former ‘Friends’ star David was keen to get an insight into Rob before playing him on the small screen, and he has now revealed that he had a long chat with Kris about her ex-husband but turned down talking to Rob’s daughters because he didn’t want to appear on their reality TV show, ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’.

David explained: “The producers of [‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’] asked me if I wanted to talk to the daughters but I didn’t feel that was necessary. And they wanted to do it on camera.”
However, David did add to the Hollywood Reporter that his conversation with Kris was extremely helpful, revealing that he discovered: “how much a man of faith Robert was, how he prayed at every meal and before every big business meeting and how he was this very compassionate, generous guy
