Chris Pine Talks ‘Rogue-ish’ Role in ‘Wonder Woman’

Chris Pine has finally spoken up about his role opposite Gal Gadot in the WB film Wonder Woman.
The Star Trek actor told the Toronto Sun he’ll be playing a character named Steve Trevor, presumably the love interest for Diana Prince/Wonder Woman.

“Steve Trevor is a rogue-ish, cynical realist who’s seen the awful brutish nature of modern civilization,” he said. “He’s a worldly guy, a charming guy and it’s going to be a great, fun film. There are some incredibly deep, interesting and morally relevant themes.”

Producer Zach Snyder shared this still of the heroine from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Anticipation for the film is steadily growing and the cast and crew are staying pretty tightlipped in terms of what to expect, but Pine did share that this film is going to be big.

“We have scenes with, like, 500 extras all in period dress. I’d never been on a film with extras casting as beautifully done as it is here.”

So there you have it! Whatever globe-spanning battle is underway in the film, there are several hundred attractive people in period clothes nearby. I smell a hit.

The film is set to open on June 23, 2017.celebuzz
