While the WWE’s Royal Rumble determined the WWE Heavyweight championship, the Divas got in on the action beforehand. WWE Divas champion Charlotte went up against Becky Lynch and the ladies really brought it tonight. It was a serious back and forth battle with plenty hair flying and drama inside and outside the ring! But Charlotte eventually retained the belt, leading to Sasha Banks to come along to crash the party!
Charlotte retained the Divas Championship at the Royal Rumble, beating Becky with the help of her father and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. But the big story came afterwards when Sasha Banks showed up and beat up them both and then held up the belt herself. We smell a WrestleMania match brewing with this new feud alert!!!
So on to the match. The back and forth action that showed the amazing skills of the Divas was dismantled by Ric Flair who was up to making sure his little girl Charlotte retained the title, even a big mouth on mouth kiss that Becky planted on Ric didn’t distract Charlotte for long. But what did do the distracting was when Ric Flair distracted Becky by throwing his jacket over her face while she was moments away from winning. Charlotte took advantage and scored a pin fall to keep her title. It was a hard fought match that was won by what the Flair family is so good at doing and that is cheating!The win wasn’t enough though as she delivered a massive beatdown to Becky afterwards, but then out of nowhere to the fans excitement Sasha Banks came out to what seemed as a gesture to congratulate Charlotte on her big win, but instead of congratulations she put her in her finishing move known as “The Banks Statement” and put her to sleep. Sasha then grabbed the belt and held it over her head, pretty much announcing to fans that we officially have a new Divas title feud, and it’s going to be incredible!hollywoodlife
