She's touted as one of the world's modern beauties, but Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel has been transformed into an old school poster girl for her latest campaign.
The 27-year-old South African bombshell oozes old Hollywood glamour as none other than silver screen legend Marilyn Monroe.
In the sultry shots, Candice dons a platinum blonde wig, a crimson pout and a dramatic cat-eye flick as she is surrounded by bold red roses.
Max Factor, which celebrated its 80th anniversary last year, is the brand widely accredited for transforming Monroe from a mousy brunette to a knockout blonde back in 1935, and delivering her with the iconic look showcased by Candice - the brand's new muse - today.
Candice may radiate confidence these days, but it wasn't always so.
In a recent interview with Maxim, the lingerie model admitted it had taken her quite some time to feel comfortable in her skin.
She said: 'I look at myself in the third person, because that girl in the pictures isn’t me: It’s a girl I created to cope with the spotlight. I had to get over a lot of shyness to do this job.'
Candice, who has been working almost non-stop since was discovered at the age of 15, said she had to grow up fast.
'In one way I feel much older, because I’ve had to deal with a lot more responsibility and a career and money at an early age,' she said.
'But at the same time, there’s still a 15-year-old girl in me, one who doesn’t even have a driver's license.'
The model has spent the past few weeks filming on the beaches of the Caribbean, and after days of frolicking in the sun, sea and sand, Candice jetted back home to experience even more of the same, soaking up the rays in her native country of South Africa.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the 27-year-old posted a photo of herself gearing up to enjoy Christmas day with her loved ones, adding the caption: 'Happy holidays!'
Candice was no doubt making the most of her leisurely day after her exhilarating adrenaline trip for work.
After working on promotional material for Victoria's Secret in St Barths, the star jetted over to her hometown to film L'Oréal's skincare line Biotherm.
The 5ft10 blonde beauty took part in a death-defying stunt for the beauty brand, dangling nearly 100ft above the South African sea from a paragliding rig.
Clad in a metallic green zip up hoodie and a pair of leggings, the model showed off her strength and athleticism as she ran, jumped and soared through the air.dailymail
