Oh baby! Bridget Jones is back.We’ve seen some glimpses of Patrick Dempsey and Colin Firth andone promotional photo of Renée Zellweger,
but for the first time, are all are featured on the cover on Entertainment Weekly. That’s right — our first looks at the love triangle at the center of Bridget Jones’s Baby is here.
We already know that Zellweger’s infamous character will be pregnant, however, we’re not told whether the baby belongs toMcDreamy or Mark Darcy. During her interview with EW, the actress spilled some details about her role in the third instalment of the film franchise.
This is part of the new challenge, discovering where she is now in her new life. But as an actress, it feels like stepping back with an old friend. I love this character, I like that she tells stories about what it’s like to be a woman and these really relatable situations at certain times in life. It’s so right to tell a story about Bridget in this stage of her life.
Zellweger also commented on the reaction to her changing appearance, saying she was able to stay away from the negativity. “All I know is that people were sending support, which means I must have needed it,” she says. “I know it sounds pretty unlikely that a person might be able to keep herself clear of those words or of that experience, but I have and it takes effort.”
As for the former Grey’s Anatomy star, he may or may not return to TV. “I would consider anything. I just have to be open and see what comes along.”
