You Will Finally Be Able to Stream The Beatles’ Entire Music Catalogue

This Christmas, everyone wins.
Come Christmas Eve, you’ll be able to stream The Beatles catalogue on Spotify, Amazon, Apple music, and listen
to “All You Need Is Love” just in time for your big family Christmas dinner.

The Beatles, arguably the most infamous, classic and popular rock ‘n roll band, are finally getting added to streaming services after infamously keeping their music off such platforms for years, like Taylor Swift and Adele.
That’s 224 songs across 13 studio albums, available on a variety of streaming services. All nine include: Apple Music, Deezer, Google Play, Microsoft Groove, Napster/Rhapsody, Amazon Prime Music, Slacker Radio, Spotify, and Tidal.

The announcement was made on their official website, saying “On December 24 at 12:01am local time — here, there and everywhere — The Beatles’ music is available for streaming worldwide via the following nine services.”

The band’s site also writes, “The band of sun appears where The Beatles are streaming now. Watch as the music spreads around the globe on Christmas Eve.” It also encourages fans to use the hashtag #TheBeatlesStreaming on social media.

The group held out from selling on iTunes until 2010, more than five years after the digital store’s launch, following years of negotiations between the surviving Beatles’ members and their estates and Apple in regards to trademark issues and terms of agreement. This current move to allow their legendary music to stream across the nine platforms could prompt a revolution for more artists to sign up.

The Beatles formed in Liverpool in 1960 and included members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Their solo discographies are currently available on streaming services, with Harrison’s albums the latest to join back in October.celebuzz
