The country singer, who has managed to keep her private life out of the public eye, has spoken out about the recent ending of her marriage to her manager, Blackstock.
Taking the quiet approach to the announcement, the star posted a photo to her official Facebook page, thanking her management team, including her now-ex-husband, and revealed the news to fans.
"Narvel and I are divorced." McEntire, 60, wrote as a comment on the photo. "It was final October 28."
After an outpouring of love from fans, she shared yet another message about the quiet news.
"Thanks for all of those sweet messages," she continued. "Narvel and I are friends. We have always been."
The two are parents to a son, 25-year-old Shelby, and have co-parented Blackstock's children from a previous marriage, including his son Brandon Blackstock, who is married to singer Kelly Clarkson.
