Motörhead’s Lemmy Has Passed Away From Cancer at 70

British rocker and frontman for MotörheadIan ‘Lemmy’Kilmister, lost a short battle with an aggressive form of cancer at the age of 70 on Monday.

The day after Christmas, Kilmister was diagnosed with the disease and passed away
 at his home with his family by his side days later.
The official Facebook page for Motörhead confirmed the news with a message to fans:
We will say more in the coming days, but for now, please…play Motörhead loud, play Hawkwind loud, play Lemmy’s music LOUD.
The lead vocalist and bassist for Motörhead was the only founding member to remain in 
the band for the entirety of its 40-year lifespan.
Since the news has broken, many of Lemmy’s fans have taken to social media to remember
 the iconic musician.celebuzz
