Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch Is on Sale for $100 Million: Inside the Estate the King of Pop Called Home

Michael Jackson's infamous Neverland Ranch is on sale for—wait for it—$100 million.
The headlining 2,700-acre home—listed under its official title, Sycamore Valley Ranch
—hit the market in May, and on Monday, NBC's Jon Fryer landed a rare tour of the expansive property.
Neverland Ranch
Jackson bought the ranch back in 1987 for a modest $19.5 million and converted the property into a Peter Pan-inspired amusement park featuring a 12,000-square-foot mansion as its center attraction.
In 2005, Neverland was notoriously host to a series of child molestation accusations against the pop star, who was charged and then later acquitted.
Colony Capital purchased the property from Jackson prior to the King of Pop's death in 2009 for just $22.5 million.
While the amusement park rides and live circus animals may be long cleared of the estate, some select features of the cooky property remain intact, including a large flower-adorned clock and a 50 person movie theatre designed by Jackson himself.
Also intact? A stunning view of the ranch's four square miles overlooking Mount Catherine, which earned its namesake from Jackson's mother.
Feel like putting your name in the hat for a piece of Neverland? Don't fret, the lucky buyer will be free to alter the property to his or her content. The hope, however, is that the notorious property retains some of its obscure yet famed heritage.

"We still have an affinity for Michael and a deep respect for Michael's legacy," Kyle Forsyth of Colony Capital said on Today, adding, "Michael's vision was to take the ranch back to its natural setting and to sell the ranch eventually. So, we're just following through with our original vision."
No word yet on what's in store for the striking estate. But if we had to guess, we'd say the $100 milion price tag is nothing short of admissible for this truly sensational palace of home.eonline
