The wait for #R8, it seems, may soon — very soon — be over.
Hits Daily Double reports that Rihanna is set to release her hotly-anticipated eighth album (and first in three years),ANTI, as a TIDAL exclusive on Nov. 27. One week later, on Dec. 4, ANTI will be made available to purchase at retail and online.
This announcement has been long-awaited, with many rumors and much speculationpointing to an end-of-year release date. Still, this comes as somewhat of a surprise considering Rihanna will be facing incredibly stiff competition from Adele — whoseguaranteed-to-be-blockbuster 25 drops Nov. 20 — and Coldplay, whose maybe-final album,A Head Full of Dreams, drops Dec. 4. These releases could potentially block Rihanna from scoring her second No. 1 album on the Album 200 chart. But at this point, and not to editorialize too much, Bad Gal just needs to release the damned thing. Too bad about that TIDAL exclusive part though, eh?celebuzz
