Oprah and Shonda Rhimes Bond Over Lack of Desire to Marry in Interview

On the newest episode of Oprah Winfrey’s interview show, SuperSoul Sundays on OWN, superstar showrunner, Shonda Rhimes bonded with the talk show host over their shared opinion of marriage.



Shonda opened up to Oprah in the interview to talk about her new self-help book, entitled, Year of Yes.

For a year, the naturally shy Rimes upheld a pledge to herself to say yes to every offer given her, just to see what would happen.However, when it comes to marriage, Rimes remains adamantly opposed to saying yes.

She said in her interview with the Mighty O:

I never played bride. I was never interested. I don’t know what it is; I never wanted to get married.
As for Oprah, she confessed that she didn’t realize she didn’t actually want to get married until her longtime boyfriend, Stedman Graham, popped the question.The twosome shared a bonding moment over this self-described “dirty little secret.celebuzz
