Missy Elliot Was Washing Her Dogs When ‘WTF’ Blew Up

Hip hop superstar, Missy Elliot, had the whole world talking when she dropped her comeback single, “WTF” with a trademark trendsetting music video.


However, you might be surprised to find out just what an ordinary day she was having when the Internet exploded in response.

In an interview with The Guardian, Elliot told the Guardian that her phone was ringing off the hook with calls, texts and emails:

People be like: “You’re not gonna have no GET-TOGETHER? No dinner?” I’m like: “I’m here WASHING MY DOGS!” They’re like: “WASHING YOUR DOGS? Don’t you see what’s happening on Twitter and Instagram and Facebook?” I’m like: “I’m washing my dogs.”
It should come as no surprise for those who know her well, as Missy is so notoriously shy that she actually only ever records her parts for music with her Yorkies, Poncho and Hoodie.celebuzz
