Ring the alarm! We’ve been anxiously waiting for Chris Brown, 26, and Rihanna, 27, to release their new albums — but we just got something a whole lot better. The former lovers joined forces for a sexy new track, titled “Counterfeit,” and it was just released on Nov. 27, along with Breezy’s surprise new mixtape.
The track, which also features Wiz Khalifa and Kelly Rowland, is a bonafide hit. But would you expect anything less when you have both Chris and Rihanna on the same song?! We didn’t think so. While this track was a bit unexpected, we weren’t totally surprised. As HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned, “Rihanna wanted to be featured on Chris’ new album and do a collaboration with him.” Well, it looks like she got her wish. And it’s a good thing she did, because our source also said, “She’d be hurt if she wasn’t [on his new album].” Obviously, this isn’t Chris’ official new album — Royalty will be released on Dec. 18 — but Rihanna may have gotten a better deal. Mixtapes are more exciting and often get more buzz than official albums. Plus, the song is dope. We’re not sure what “Counterfeit” is about, but we dig it.Hollywoodlife
