In the court filing obtained by TheWrap, Gordon claimed that people connected to Bobbi Kristina are dragging his name through the mud via public statements, including a statement from her father Bobby Brown‘s attorney that Gordon was trying to avoid “telling the truth under oath.”
Gordon made the claims Monday as he seeks to delay proceedings in a $40 million lawsuit brought against him by Bobbi Kristina’s conservator, Bedelia C. Hargrove.
“Such tactics actively taint public opinion and slander Mr. Gordon,” the papers read. “A stay of the civil proceedings would justly allow Mr. Gordon to defend not only his own freedom, but salvage what is left of his character after having it publically [sic] lynched by Bobby Kristina Brown’s estate as well as her family and friends.”
Bobbi Kristina Brown was found face-down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home on January 31 and died in July at age 22, after spending nearly six months in a coma.
Hargrove’s $40 million lawsuit, filed before Bobbi Kristina’s death, contended that Gordon was physically abusive to the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, and that he wrongfully diverted money from her accounts to himself. An amended complaint after she died added a wrongful death allegation, along with the claim that Gordon had given her a “toxic cocktail” in the period leading up to the bathtub incident.

“This lawsuit has de facto alleged that Mr. Gordon is a murderer, a habitual batterer of women, a seducer of young white females, a thief and/or con-man fueled by monetary gain, and a chemist capable of making a toxic cocktail,” Gordon’s filing said.
Attorneys for Gordon have previously denied the allegations.
In his latest filing in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia, Gordon contended that discovery in the case should be delayed.yahoocelebrity
