Beyonce Tell-All Biography Claims One-Year Split from Jay-Z Over Rihanna

A new biography about pop superstar, Beyonce, claims that the singer was separated from her now husband, Jay-Z, back in 2005 for a year over rumors that he was romantically linked to Rihanna

The author of Becoming Beyonce: The Untold Story, J Randy Taraborrelli, says that these rumors were allegedly started in order to raise public visibility of the then 17-year-old Rihanna, who was discovered by Jay-Z.

Taraborrelli says, “They spent maybe a year apart from each other because Beyoncé just wasn’t sure of what to make of the situation with Rihanna.”

However, the author claims that there’s no bad blood between the “Umbrella” singer and the former lead singer for Destiny’s Child. He adds, “It’s safe to say that Rihanna and Beyoncé are friends.”
