Frances Bean Cobain Got Married Last Night
Surprise! Frances Bean Cobain got married and reportedly didn't even tell her mom Courtney Love.
According to E! News, Cobain married her boyfriend of five years Isaiah Silva, who is the lead singer of L.A. rock band The Eeries, in a small and intimate wedding that she reportedly had been planning for over a year.
The affair, which reportedly featured the theme "daisies in mason jars," was so intimate that E! is reporting that Love was not present at the ceremony, which included only 13 to 15 guests.
The mom and daughter's rocky relationship has been public knowledge to anyone with a Twitter account, but in August, Love posted a sweet message on Instagram to her little girl on her 23rd birthday alongside a throwback picture of a baby Frances Bean with her mom and dad, Kurt Cobain: "My greatest love and our precious Bean #missyou #memories." Frances Bean was just 20 months old when the Nirvana singer committed suicide.
The younger Cobain later responded to her mom on Twitter: "Thanks for letting me utilize your human form to act as my alien incubation pod for 9 months. Love you mum XX."
Some moms would be insulted that their daughter didn't invite them to their wedding, but a source told E! that "Courtney really likes Isaiah and is very happy for Frances. Courtney is sad she wasn't at the wedding," but "this has not caused a rift between mom and daughter. Courtney was sad, but she's cool and Isaiah is a great son-in-law."
Love has yet to publicly comment on her daughter's reported nuptials.Refinery29
